SuperFlo provides a comprehensive bulk distribution package: rail-to-truck transloading, product storage, custom product blending, product sampling and laboratory analysis, outbound loading of railcars, tank trucks and intermodal bulk containers (IBC's), and logistics coordination services. SuperFlo specializes in delivering these services for non-food grade products. Another division of Superior Bulk Logistics, Carry Transit, provides rail-to-truck transloading and storage of food grade, Kosher, and USP grade bulk products.

Transloading Services

SuperFlo's impressive capabilities can accommodate virtually any bulk logistics requirement. A typical example is SuperFlo's Marion, Virginia site, served by the Norfolk Southern Railroad, which features extensive railcar holding capacity as well as seven railcar unloading stations for high volume product transfer. These stations are supported by over 4,000 feet of stainless steel piping. Electric driven mild steel and air driven stainless steel pumps move product from railcar to storage tank to tank truck, or directly from railcar to tank truck. Product Storage and Custom Blending Services

Continuing with the Marion, Virginia example, sixteen storage tanks - including nine 25,000-gallon vertical tanks - provide storage capacity exceeding 270,000 gallons. This allows quick response to both short and long term inventory needs. These rail tank car-sized storage tanks facilitate test marketing of tank truck quantity customers while allowing the shipper to optimize railcar utilization, enjoy rail transportation economics, and avoid long term terminaling commitments.

SuperFlo's technological resources and trained personnel can provide sophisticated product blending and lab analysis. SuperFlo customers typically ship product feedstock in bulk by rail into a SuperFlo site for storage. Custom product blending to customer specifications is performed on-site to exacting laboratory standards. Finished product sampling and analysis as well as on-site generation of product specific Certificates of Analysis are also provided by SuperFlo.
